I began reading the book, with no expectations of what I would find within its pages. As read, I found myself coming face to face with my own reality and read the last sentence as a tears formed in my eyes; tears of happiness; I really enjoyed reading the adventures the Dreamseller took the various characters in the book through. He drew people into his world with a huge dose of patience and tolerance. As I read on, I saw facets of my life in the various chapters of the book.
The words in the book reminds one to take a moment and appreciate the beauty that surrounds them. It challenges the reader to become a keen observer and evoke the great ideas that are often hidden within the shadows of our minds. The book took me back to my childhood, a time almost forgotten, where my imagination was a blast. I recalled the various adventures I would have with my siblings, building tents out of our bedsheets, the laughter, joy and excitement we would have as our imaginations led us on great expeditions. It made me realize that today, my life is a series of routines churned out through this journey called life, day in and day out as we constantly focus on proving ourselves in the various societies we exist in.
I found the book to be a true exploration of self. There is a story within each one of us as the Dreamseller plunges his followers into situations they would never have dreamed of being in. It made me think about the aspect of taking risks as we journey through our respective lives, pushing aside our fears, societal rules and prejudices, leaving the cocoon that often imprisons us and coming to the realization that nothing is impossible.
The title of the last chapter of the Book is “If I could turn back time”. The Dreamseller however lets us know it is never too late to follow the calling of your dreams. The book will challenge your authenticity. It will challenge you to give of yourself without asking for anything in return. I urge you to pick up this book and follow the calling of the Dreamseller.
